“How Much Cake Can You Eat?” by They Might Be Giants

In honor of our annual gluttonous holiday, I felt this song was appropriate.  It would be more fitting if it was pie instead of cake, but life is a sequence of pain and disappointment culminating in the sweet release of death, so in the grand scheme of things, the whole cake/pie thing is small potatoes.  Anyway, this song was recorded over the phone from They Might Be Giants’ Dial-A-Song service, back when it ran off an old school tape-driven answering machine.  Hence the poor quality.  On this day I think we can all agree that we are thankful for John and John, the twin quasars of rock.
