I was born on January 12, 1977. Since then, I've won a spelling bee and created this web page. For those who still wish to know more, read on.
My birthplace was Red Bank, New Jersey. Once, in 4th grade, we had to write down where we were born. I knew I was born in New Jersey, but I couldn't remember what city. I panicked and wrote down Trenton, the only city in New Jersey I could think of. My lie was undetected. Life continued much as it had before.
Apart from New Jersey (in which I only spent the first few years of my life), I have lived in Maine and Texas. My family moved to Texas in 1986, and I've been here ever since. Currently I reside in Austin, but I have also lived in Lufkin (East Texas), Nacogdoches (East Texas), Tomball (near Houston) and Denton (near Dallas). My family lived in Canton, North Carolina for a couple of years while I was in college, so I've also spent some time there.
I graduated High School from the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science in 1995, and I completed my undergraduate education at the University of Texas at Austin in Spring 1999. I am employed by IBM.
I'm interested in just about everything. Art and science equally fascinate and inspire me. I see sublime beauty in both haiku and mathematical proofs. This has caused me no small amount of difficulty in my life, as I'm never sure what direction my life ought to be taking. There doesn't seem to be enough time to pursue all of my interests.
