Notes: A very dramatic and close game from beginning to end, featuring some impressive defensive plays by the Weasels. Most notably, Nathan made a couple of great plays at third base to narrowly get runners at first base, and Greg made several nice catches in the outfield. Going into the bottom of the 6th inning, time had expired and the Weasels were down by one run. Patrick led off with a ground ball to the left side of the infield. He put his head down and ran, and just beat out the throw. Carrie followed with a ground ball to third, which the third baseman misplayed and then was unable to make an out (although he came close to getting Patrick at second). Mitch hit a ball over the head of the third baseman into left field, scoring Patrick to tie the game, and advancing Carrie to second. Susan hit a trickler up the third base line, and Carrie was thrown out at third on a close play (numerous observers felt she was safe, but there was no sense in arguing it). Neil followed with a hit up the middle, scoring Mitch from second to win the game. Thanks to Dan, Nathan T, and Patrick for subbing.
