Notes: An offensive romp by the Weasels (14 runs scored in the top of the first inning, 8 runs scored in the top of the second inning), exacerbated by numerous errors committed by Orange Crush players. The offensive leaders of the game for the Weasels were Newton (1 single, 2 doubles, and 1 walk in 4 plate appearances), Amanda (3 singles and 1 walk in 4 plate appearances), and Becky (3 singles in 3 plate appearances). The defensive highlight of the game came in the bottom of the 4th inning. With no outs and a runner on first base, the batter hit a ground ball to Matt at SS. He tossed the ball to Zara at 2B to force the runner from first, and Zara threw to Amanda at 1B to complete the double play. Interesting side note -- of the 13 runs scored by Orange Crush, 10 of them were driven in by their #3 batter. In his three at bats he hit three no-doubter outside-the-park home runs. In the first inning he hit a 3-run shot right up the left field line, in the second inning he hit a grand slam to left-center, and in the third inning he hit a 3-run blast to left-center.
