Notes: A rough loss for the Weasels to begin the Summer II season. After scoring 13 runs in the top of the first, they were held to one run the rest of the way. On top of that, Chris struggled with his pitching control, and the defense was sloppy. This lead to a disappointing 15-14 loss (7 of the 15 runs were not earned runs). The defensive highlight for the Weasels came in bottom of the third inning. The Untouchaballs had the bases loaded and one out, and the batter hit a fly ball moderately deep to right-field. Zook ranged over and caught it, and the runners from 2B and 3B tagged up. Shawn ran out from 2B to take the cutoff throw, and relayed it to Chris at pitcher. The runner from 3B had scored, but the runner from 2B decided to try and score as well. Chris made a strong throw to Natasha at catcher, and she tagged out the runner to complete the inning-ending double play. The offensive leaders for the Weasels were Jason (3 singles in 3 plate appearances) and Neil (3 singles in 3 plate appearances). Thanks to Natasha for subbing (even though she had planned to take the season off to rest her injuries). Thanks to Tony for coming out to cheer. Great thanks to Mitch and Zook for keeping score.
