Note: First and foremost, the Ice Weasels extend their great thanks to Angela, Pete, and Christine. They agreed to play for us when 5 of the 12 Ice Weasels were unavailable to play, and all three of them played well. Also, thank you to the Weasels who made it out to the game. The game went well, apart from a long first inning. Both pitchers took a while getting used to pitching in the very windy conditions. The Weasels scored 10 runs in the first inning, and the Gamebreakers scored 7. After the first inning both pitchers got into a groove. The Gamebreakers only scored 3 runs after the first inning, and the Weasels scored an additional 7. Neil made a couple of very nice defensive plays, throwing out runners from his knees. Pete and Angela were involved in an impressive double play. The Weasels outfield had little to do -- Matt fielded the ball twice, but the other three outfielders never touched the ball. Overall the Ice Weasels performed well, but the highlight of the game may have been a surprise visit by Hawi. We're hoping he recovers from his knee injury so he can once again rival Newton for the title of Fastest Weasel.
