Note: This was probably the toughest game the Weasels played during this Spring season. Unlike most recent games, at the end of the first inning, the Ice Weasels were down 1-0. But the offense improved and the defense was steady, as always. Matt made a number of key outs in leftfield. Neil and Brandy kept every ball hit to the left side of the infield from getting past them, including a spectacular play by Neil to get the final out of the game. Amy pitched yet another great game, and made some nice fielding plays (including one that she stopped with her legs rather than her glove, sacrificing her body for the team). Everyone did their jobs, and with this victory, the Ice Weasels have clinched first place in the league. Provided the team does not forfeit in the final game, the Weasels are assured a first place finish this season. Great work everyone.
