Notes:
In the top of the 2nd inning, Caitlyn was tagged out after having been obstructed from
reaching home plate, ending the inning. Mitch argued the case with the umpires, since it
seemed very clear that she was obstructed at least once on her way home, and more likely twice. Neither umpire disagreed that
a fielder not in possession of the ball was directly between Caitlyn and home plate. However,
for various reasons, they claimed that this did not count as obstruction. Eventually Mitch stated
that the Weasels were playing the game under protest. If the obstruction call had been made, the Weasels would still have been batting in
the top of the 2nd inning, with the score 3-0 in their favor. Instead, the top of the 2nd was over, and the score was 2-0 in favor of the
Weasels.
The Weasels went on to lose the game 15-9, but the league upheld the protest,
ruling in favor of the Ice Weasels. It wasn't practical to schedule a replay of the game from the point of the protested call,
so instead the league decided to just cancel the result of the game entirely. From a statistical point of view, no Weasels are considered
to have played in this game, since it technically was not played. The rest of this page shows the results of the game as it was played,
with the incorrect call having been made.
In the top of the 2nd inning, Caitlyn hit a triple.
In the top of the 5th inning, Matt hit a solo over-the-fence home run.
